5 Upcoming Games to Help Break Your GTA V Addiction

GTA V

GTA V was one of the most anticipated games of the year and was probably one of the most anticipated games of all time. What’s even better is the fact that the game has lived up to all of the hype and a ton of people fell in love with the game once they got their greedy little gamer hands on it. As a matter of fact, a couple days ago I published a post on signs that you may be addicted to GTA V.

GTA V is an awesome game; no doubt about it. However, this is going to be an awesome year for gaming, so there’s going to be some stiff competition on the way. With the release of the Playstation 4 and Xbox One coming up very soon, there’s a ton of new games that will be hitting shelves. Therefore, a lot of people are going to want to play some new games on their new systems. So, that being said, let’s look at 5 games that will force you to take some time away from Grand Theft Auto V.

Watch Dogs

This is a game that I am personally pumped up for. Much like Grand Theft Auto V, Watch Dogs is an open world game and it’s looking like it’s going to be practically unlimited as far as gameplay options are concerned. From all of the videos, news and pictures that have been released of the game so far, it looks like you can interact with every single NPC you encounter through-out the game. Also, if you’re buying the Playstation 4, you can get this game in one of the PS4 bundles.

The Evil Within

I’m always pumped up to try out a new survival horror game and it looks like The Evil Within is not going to disappoint me. The screenshots of the game look amazing and it’s under development by Shinji Mikami, who is the creator of my favorite video game franchise: Resident Evil. This game isn’t going to hit store shelves until next year, but it will definitely be a game that I add to my collection as soon as I possibly can.

Call of Duty: Ghosts

Every single year brings us gamers yet another Call of Duty game, which is what we have come to expect at this point. Therefore, it came as no surprise that the newest Call of Duty game is going to be one of the launch games for the Playstation 4 and Xbox One. This is one of the most popular gaming franchises of all time, so there’s no doubt that a lot of a people will be entertained with this game for a long time to come. Of course, everyone can’t wait to fire up this game and immediately click on the “Multiplayer” option, but the latest entry into the COD series promises an excellent story with memorable characters.

Killzone: Shadow Fall

The Killzone franchise is known for taking Sony’s hardware and pushing it to its maximum capabilities. Therefore, you can always expect some excellent visuals when playing any Killzone game. Without a doubt, Killzone: Shadow Fall will be no exception to this and it takes place 30 years after Killzone 3. Die hard fans of the Killzone series can’t wait to get their hands on this one. This is also going to be one of those games that will give you a great idea as to what your new system is capable of.

Need for Speed: Rivals

It wouldn’t be right if I didn’t include a racing game in this list. The Need For Speed series seemed to be dying off for a little while, but it quickly became rejuvenated with the releases of “Most Wanted” and “Hot Pursuit.” Therefore, there’s no doubt that the next-gen addition to the series, Need For Speed: Rivals, will keep gamers busy for a while. It’s an open world racer and the customization options are going to be insane.  Just imagine how beautiful the cars from Need For Speed are going to look on the newest consoles.
