Let the Batman craze continue with the latest installment in the Batman video game series—Batman: Arkham Origins.  Released on October 25th, this game has received some major hype, making this one of the hottest games in the past month or so.  This newest Warner Brothers game features a prequel story to the two previous games, Batman: Arkham Asylum and Batman: Arkham City.

Batman: Arkham Origins The story takes place five years before the storyline set in Batman: Arkham Asylum, where Batman is a young and wild hero that has a bounty placed on his head by a crime lord.  In all of the chaos, famous villains such as the Joker and Anarky enact their villainous schemes while Batman is distracted by all of those who are after him.  Players get to use all kinds of new and updated gadgets that make this game fun and unique from any other game before it in the series.

Players have the awesome experience of an open-world gameplay that also requires players to use stealth tactics for the highest success in the game.  Use a wide array of new and returning gadgets to completely change the game.  Use these complex gadgets for fighting and traveling—every gadget can be used for multiple purposes to help you in the game.  If you don’t want to walk, glide, or rappel your way around, you can quickly call up the Batwing, Batman’s sleek plane that can make travel even faster.  However, the Batwing can’t be controlled by the player—it is an automatic travel system that is merely for avoiding unnecessary traveling.

Batman: Arkham OriginsFor the first time in the game series, players can now access a fantastic multiplayer mode that is sure to revamp the game and be an extremely exciting addition to an already very exciting game.  For instance, take control of Batman, Robin, Bane, or the Joker, in an exciting gang-based game mode where groups fight for domination.  Either play as Batman and Robin to eliminate the villains, or play as Bane, the Joker, or one of their gang members to eliminate other players for total victory.  For console games, players can play with up to 8 others, making this new addition to the Arkham series an exciting development for fans of online play.

The game features the well-known characters of the Batman series, such as Batman, Robin, The Joker, and Bane, as well as some lesser-known characters, including Black Mask, Deathstroke, Deadshot, and Copperhead.  The storyline is a complex relationship between Batman and the many powerful villains who are after him—you know you’ll have a lot to do in this very extensive game.  The graphics are stunning in this newest installment, bringing the players further into Gotham and the experience of Batman with the most realistic cinematic sequences to date.

The addition of the multiplayer mode greatly expands an already vast playability in the game, and the new game modes in multiplayer are very promising.  With this game, there are certainly hours of fun to be had.
